Die Video Game Awards des US-Senders Spike, kurz VGX, sind vorbei. Neben neuen Trailern und Spielen darf man nicht den eigentlichen Grund der Show vergessen: die Awards. Sony durfte sich freuen, denn der Abräumer des Abends war The Last of Us. Mit 4 Awards ist es unter anderem als bestes PlayStation Spiel ausgezeichnet worden. Indirekt für The Last of Us konnte auch Naughty Dog als Studio des Jahres einen Award nach Hause nehmen. Die beiden Synchronsprecher der Haupt-Charaktere Joel und Ellie haben jeweils einen Award für ihre Leistung verliehen bekommen. Das Spiel mit den zweit-meisten Awards ist Bioshock Infinite. Es hat den Award für den besten Shooter, die Charaktere des Jahres und den Preis für den besten Song verliehen bekommen. Das JRPG Ni No Kuni konnte sich den Award für das beste Rollenspiel sichern.
